The Parish has a well-established choral tradition, and new members to the choir are always welcome. The choir rehearses every week on Friday evening (7.30pm) and sings at the Sunday morning Eucharist (10.15am).
The choir also provides a large musical contribution to all the major services at Christmas, Easter and other festivals. The choir sings choral evensong about once a month and also at weddings. Music is generally in the post-Stanford tradition, but the diet is highly varied, interesting and enriching, with a large amount of Renaissance and high-quality modern choral music included.
There are two excellent three-manual organs by Hunter and Mander.
Taizé singing with an instrumental group happens every 2nd Sunday of the month at the 6pm service. Those who want to sing or play an instrument are invited to come at 5pm, an hour before the service to learn the songs. You can also learn the songs from the Taizé website. Contact Rev'd Imogen Nay for details.
