HOUSE GROUPS
There are currently three house groups, which meet in various parishioners' homes.

MONDAY 8.00-10.00pm (first Monday of each month)
"Ask yourself, 'What is Christianity?' Arrive at a stronger personal faith by finding out together. Just as you collect sequences of holiday photographs to impress friends, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John each made their own presentation of Jesus and were impressed by his way of living, his words and actions. In the light of the Resurrection, each Evangelist began to reconstruct his memories, revalue them and highlight them. They faced up to issues you and I might prefer to disregard. I trust my group not to dodge the answers. Go for it! Know thyself better!"

MONDAY 5.00-6.30pm (fortnightly)
"We have no set meeting place, and each member acts as host from time to time. We start with a chat over a cup of tea (how else?) but get down to business at 5.30pm for an hour's discussion and only rarely run over time. We study BRF 'New Daylight' notes and sometimes a book. We found both 'Message for the Millennium' and 'With Christ in the Upper Room' by David Winter, helpful and enjoyable. But 'Christ on trial' by Rowan Williams was much more of a challenge and really hard going. One thing we all value very much is the House Communion or Agape, which we share twice a year with the other fortnightly group."

Monday 8.00-9.30pm (fortnightly)
"We meet for fellowship and to study the scriptures. We spend about an hour reading and sharing insights, basing our discussions on either a book or BRF Notes. We then break for refreshment and socialising. Twice a year we share a House Eucharist or Agape and a party with the Monday afternoon group; occasions that we all value enormously. New members are always welcome."

If you would like to join one of the House Groups, or want more information, please contact the Parish Office.
