The Revd Imogen Nay
was ordained on the 28th June 2009 at Southwark Cathedral and joins the parish as Curate. She spends her first year as a Deacon, and will be priested in June 2010.

Imogen joins us from Westcott House theological college in Cambridge. Prior to going to theological college Imogen worked in the voluntary sector. Her last job was as Women's Development Worker at Providence Row Charity, London E1. Her role was to develop services for vulnerable women. She ran women's groups for women experiencing domestic violence, sleeping rough, with various addictions and for those involved in on-street prostitution. Imogen says 'the work was very challenging but very rewarding, the needs of the women coming to the day centre were so high and complex, but just providing a loving space for them to be a few hours a day, I hope made all the difference'. Imogen was also involved in outreach to rough sleepers and sex workers, working in conjunction with other agencies.

Imogen initially studied English Literature and Renaissance Studies. She has a keen interest in all the arts and hopes that church may be a place where people are encouraged and inspired in their artistic endeavours to worship God in the 'beauty of holiness'.
