WORSHIP ON SUNDAY: All services are currently at St Andrew's Church
Sunday is the time when most of our community gathers to worship God in Word (Bible, hymns, prayer) and Sacrament (the Eucharist or Holy Communion). There are many different options. Take a look below - you are very welcome to all our services whether it's your first time at church or you are a regular church-goer.
The 8 am Holy Communion service is a 'spoken' service, using the Order from the 1662 Book of Common Prayer. There is a quiet reflective atmosphere and a concise address is usually offered. Even in the depths of winter, there is a regular 'core' of worshippers.
9.15 am Service for pre-school children and parents
This is a new service held on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month. It lasts only half an hour with songs, a short talk for children, a Bible reading and prayers.
SUNDAY MAIN SERVICE
Currently 10.15 am at St Andrew's, a sung Eucharist. It includes music, hymns and a sermon with members of the congregation assisting with readings, prayers and altar serving. There is a Sunday school and a crèche is provided.
There has been a change to the regular programme for May and June: all services are at St Andrew's Church, at 6pm:
Sunday 16th May - Iona songs service
Sunday 23rd May - Taize service for Pentecost
Sunday 30th May - Evening service organised by a Home Group
