SOCIAL ACTIVITIES
Coffee, tea and biscuits are served after the main Sunday morning services in both churches, with squash for the children. This is a good opportunity to make new friends.
On Fridays at 10.00 - 11.30am there is a
Coffee and Cake Corner at the back of St Mark's Church. Come for a chat - you don't have to be a regular member of the congregation. The Flying Circus (see below) usually meets here before going off on a visit. Our other social groups include:
ST ANDREW'S AND ST MARK'S FELLOWSHIP
The Fellowship meets in St Mark's Church Hall, Church Hill Road, Surbiton, on the fourth Wednesday of the month from 2.30 to 4.00pm. Come and meet a friendly crowd for social chat, guest speakers and outings. Click here to see the latest
programme of events, or contact the Parish Office for more details.
THE FLYING CIRCUS
This is a group of friends (usually from the parish) who go off for the day, about once a month, to visit places of interest. Normally we use public transport but we hope to do more trips that can be enjoyed by the less mobile by using an accessible minibus hired from RAKAT. We have visited the "Mary Rose" in Portsmouth, the Wetland Centre at Barnes, Eltham Palace and various museums. Details of future visits will be announced in the churches' weekly notice sheet. If you have any suggestions for visits, contact John Wickenden.
POLESDEN LACEY GROUP
A friendship group. There is an event each month, which may be an outing or theatre trip, a barbecue or a musical evening. Membership costs £3, to cover expenses. Click here for the latest
programme of events, or contact the Parish Office for more details.
